Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Work study is required. Candidate must be a UW-Madison student working towards a bachelor's degree with a science focus Prior knowledge and experience with lab equipment or animal husbandry preferred but not required Must demonstrate great detail, be able to work with minimal supervision, and conduct oneself in a professional manner.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
Help wash and autoclave dishes Help with animal husbandry, feeding research animals Assist with inventory management Assist with lab maintenance Perform other related duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
Limited exposure to hazardous chemicals Work may involve occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds Work is normally performed in a typical laboratory environment No or very limited physical effort is required No or very limited exposure to physical risk
