Department Overview:

The Marketing Department drives brand growth, customer engagement, and revenue across multiple hospitality businesses. It manages social media, content creation, events, promotions, partnerships, email marketing, and advertising to increase visibility and foot traffic. The team works closely with business owners to maintain strong brand presence, execute campaigns, and create memorable customer experiences while building systems that keep marketing organized, scalable, and results-driven.

Qualifications:

- At least two years of marketing experience gained through employment, internships, freelance work, student organizations, or relevant projects
- Availability to work approximately 10–20 hours per week in a hybrid environment
- Junior or senior undergraduate student, graduate student, or early-career professional
- Experience managing multiple brands, clients, campaigns, or projects is preferred
- Experience with social media management, content creation, email marketing, advertising, or event promotion
- Experience providing direction to interns, employees, volunteers, or project teams is helpful
- Hospitality, restaurant, nightlife, entertainment, or event-marketing experience is helpful but not required
- Experience with Airtable, Google Workspace, email marketing platforms, social scheduling tools, and paid advertising platforms is preferred
- A portfolio or examples of previous content, campaigns, social media work, writing, design, or marketing results are strongly encouraged

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Strong knowledge of current social media platforms, trends, content formats, and audience-engagement practices
- Understanding of marketing principles, including branding, customer targeting, promotions, advertising, and campaign measurement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, time-management, and project-management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple brands, campaigns, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to develop creative ideas and turn them into clear, actionable plans

Position Summary/Job Duties:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for helping grow a portfolio of businesses through organized, creative, and results-driven marketing. This hands-on role works closely with business owners, interns, and creative partners to strengthen each brand, attract new customers, increase event attendance, and produce measurable results.

The Marketing Manager will oversee social media, content, email marketing, advertising, events, promotions, partnerships, and project coordination across multiple brands.

Primary responsibilities include:

- Plan and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, weekly specials, and event launches
- Identify target audiences and develop campaigns that support customer acquisition and revenue growth
- Create and coordinate weekly email marketing campaigns
- Manage paid social media advertising and event promotions
- Develop outreach strategies involving local media, influencers, community organizations, and business partners
- Oversee content strategies for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant platforms
- Build, maintain, and approve content calendars for multiple brands
- Ensure content is accurate, engaging, on-brand, and published consistently
- Monitor social media trends and identify relevant content opportunities
- Coordinate content requests among business owners, interns, and creative partners
- Help plan, promote, and execute themed events, holiday promotions, launch parties, and other special events
- Coordinate posters, digital signage, social media graphics, and other promotional materials
- Publish events on Eventbrite, local media websites, community calendars, and other relevant platforms
- Maintain accurate and optimized Google Business Profiles and online listings
- Support customer review-generation and response strategies
- Develop cross-promotions and partnerships with local businesses and community organizations
- Engage with customers through social media comments, local groups, and online communities
- Lead weekly client check-ins and structured business reviews
- Maintain clear priorities, task lists, deadlines, and deliverables for each brand
- Document meetings, decisions, strategies, performance, and next steps
- Organize marketing calendars, campaigns, contacts, and deliverables using Airtable, Google Sheets, and related tools
- Maintain databases for partnerships, influencers, collaborations, and outreach
- Assign and oversee projects completed by interns
- Lead weekly intern meetings and provide regular direction and feedback
- Develop repeatable workflows, training materials, and quality-control processes
- Track results across social media, email, advertising, events, and promotional campaigns
- Share performance insights with business owners and adjust strategies based on results
- Perform other related marketing duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and move throughout business or event locations to gather content and support marketing activities. The position may require occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Some evening or weekend availability may be required for events, content collection, or time-sensitive promotions.
