Department Overview:

University Health Services (UHS) offers award-winning, high quality medical, mental health, prevention, and wellness services to enrolled UW-Madison students. As part of UHS, the UHS Data & Quality Team analyzes and shares health-related data and assists in the design and implementation of healthcare Quality Improvement projects. The Healthcare Data & Quality Analysis Assistant will support health-related data and quality needs at UHS.

Minimum: 15

Schedule:

2-5 days/partial days (depending on what fits your schedule) mostly remote during the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled as a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Experience in or interest in learning about data analysis, quality improvement processes, electronic medical record data

Experience with any statistical and/or survey programs would be valuable but not required. We are particularly looking for individuals with experience in Excel, SQL, and Qualtrics.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent project management and time management skills

Extremely detail oriented and excellent logistic skills

Position Summary/Job Duties:

University Health Services is committed to a data-informed healthcare strategy. The Health Data & Quality Analysis Assistant would assist the Data & Quality Analyst with data extraction and analysis from our electronic health record, and from surveys related to the healthcare provided at UHS, such as patient satisfaction surveys.

Analyze data related to delivery of healthcare services at UHS

Prepare data briefs for UHS staff and leadership

Assist with quality improvement projects at UHS

Assist with patient satisfaction surveys

Work with other UHS Data & Quality staff on data needs as requested
