Founded in 1981, WESLI (Wisconsin ESL Institute) has earned an excellent reputation in the Madison community and among universities and colleges for equipping international students with skills to succeed in competitive academic and professional environments and for providing a wonderful cross-cultural experience for our students. Today, WESLI offers over 30 courses across seven levels, an online English program, English for the workplace, and a TEFL certification program. WESLI has a long history of a family-like atmosphere, as teachers and staff care about students personally while they assist them academically. Most staff members have lived abroad, speak one or more foreign languages, have years of experience teaching English, and have been at WESLI for more than 10 years. WESLI is a collaborative workplace with a team approach, which allows employees to grow in skills and responsibilities according to employees' performance and interests and WESLI’s needs. |

This is a part-time (15 hr/wk average) position, a few days a week with likely weekends for activity excursions, with working hours generally between 10am and 9pm based at WESLI in Madison, Wisconsin. Some activities will be later in the day and will require afternoon or evening hours. This position will provide training on-site. |

Qualifications: |
- Currently seeking undergraduate degree in education, international fields, community studies, or event planning - Strong interpersonal and communications skills. - 1-2 years of experience working with children and/or teen students. - Some driving may be required. Applicants should have a valid driver license. - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. -Knowledge of social media sites and how to post content - Ability to work independently and take initiative in all areas of the job description. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team. - Ability to collect pictures and video - Outgoing and comfortable working with diverse populations of international students. - Excellent organization skills and the ability to meet deadlines. - Successfully complete a background check. - International experience (preferred, not required) - Marketing or Social Media Training (preferred, not required) - Experience learning a second language (preferred, not required) To apply, submit your application online through the job application portal along with a resume and cover letter. Position Summary/Job Duties: |
WESLI is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and friendly Student Engagement Coordinator (part-time) to join our dynamic team and help WESLI's international high students to engage locally while using their English. This position is seasonal with the employment period from June to August. The SE Coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the Student Services Coordinator. The Student Engagement Coordinator will work with WESLI’s Student Services Coordinator to plan and implement weekly activities in Madison and a few day trips in the region as well as work with WESLI’s Marketing Coordinator to assist in social media and outreach endeavors. Candidates should be independent problem solvers that enjoy finding creative solutions and possess the ability to communicate activity details clearly. The ideal candidate will be assertive, collaborative, and have excellent communication skills. Ideal experience for majors or students with experience in education, marketing, communications, event planning, or international education, but all major backgrounds are welcome to apply.
