Be a part of the Soil and Forage Analysis lab at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene! This is an opportunity to gain valuable laboratory experience while participating in statewide agricultural testing. We are looking for a reliable and committed student team member for the summer and fall semester with possibility to continue into the spring or summer. Department Overview: The Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) serves as the public, environmental, and occupational health laboratory for the state of Wisconsin, and is part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The employee in this position will work within the Soil and Forage Analysis Lab. Duties include preparation of soil, forage, plant, manure and lime samples, preparation of lab reagents, and some basic analyses. Qualifications: |
-Enrolled university student for spring or fall 2025 semester -An interest or previous training in science, chemistry, agriculture, and/or soil science |

-Preparing agricultural samples including soil, forage, plants, manure, and ag lime |
Physical Demands: |
Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds |
