Department Overview:

* Oversees admission, curriculum guidance, and student support for all MBA tracks (Full‑Time, Professional, Executive) as well as specialized Master’s programs in areas like Accountancy, Finance, Analytics, Real Estate, and Supply Chain.
* Provides one-on-one advising, application assistance, scheduled info sessions, and access to career development resources tailored to graduate business students .
* Acts as the central hub for program comparisons, customized guidance based on career goals and experience level, and coordination of events, visits, and consultation scheduling .

Qualifications:

Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at UW-Madison.

Strong skills in MS Office applications, including Excel and Powerpoint.

Experience and comfort working in various systems (that will be introduced).

Event management experience is a plus.

Essential to this position are strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. If you are generally curious about how to streamline work, enjoy research, working with data, providing customer service, and working on many different types of projects, you'll enjoy this position. Knowledge and abilities working in Handshake, LinkedIn, 12Twenty, ChatGPT (or other AI tools), and in various online recruitment tools (MBA Exchange, CareerShift, etc.) is preferred.


Position Summary/Job Duties:

The program assistant works within a professional setting as a Wisconsin School of Business representative and informed ambassador of the WSB MBA and Masters programs, with special knowledge and focus on employer relations and the data and reporting of employment outcomes from both MBA and Specialty Masters programs.

Reporting to the Director of Employer and Corporate Relations and working alongside the Assistant Director(s) of Employer Relations and the Operations and Communications Coordinator, the program assistant has the primary responsibility of supporting the data collection, reporting, and operations of employer engagements. The focuses of engagement include campus and virtual recruiting (heavier in the Fall), coordinating with employers to support programs through speaking engagements or sponsoring projects, and supporting varied communications to internal and external stakeholders.
