Purpose of the Role The Events & Live Entertainment Intern supports The Rigby’s in-house programming by planning, coordinating, and promoting events that drive traffic and enhance the customer experience. This includes helping schedule and manage live music, private parties, theme nights, charity events, and community collaborations. The role blends creativity, logistics, and outreach, while also contributing to promotional planning and idea generation. The intern will also use AI tools to help brainstorm, organize, and prepare materials more efficiently. Strong performance in this role may lead to continued opportunities with a new marketing consulting business launching soon. |

Qualifications: |
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed coursework in Marketing, Event Planning, Arts Administration, Hospitality, Music Business, or a related field • Interest in live entertainment, nightlife, hospitality, or community-based events • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Highly organized and detail-oriented • Comfortable speaking with performers, vendors, and customers • Ability to work occasional nights or weekends for live events (as needed) • Experience with Google Drive, Canva, or similar tools is helpful • Familiarity or interest in using AI tools (like ChatGPT) to assist with planning, outreach, or idea generation • No formal job experience required — passion, initiative, and follow-through matter most |

This role involves both administrative tasks and active, hands-on event support. Intern must be comfortable lifting up to 40 pounds for event setup, including moving furniture, supplies, or basic band equipment. The role may require walking up and down stairs during events and helping with sound system or stage setup. |
