Department Overview: |
Disbursements area of Accounting Services is part of the Division of Business Services. It provides financial services for UW-Madison including the processing of supplier invoices and payment requests. This also includes maintaining supplier records. It provides these services for 40 colleges and divisions and approximately 438 departments. Approximately $4 billion of expenditures are posted annually. The department employs approximately 50 permanent employees and 25 student employees. |

Qualifications: |
▪ Business-related major preferred (preference for freshman/sophomore) ▪ Must demonstrate professionalism and competence in the campus environment ▪ Must maintain a strong campus focus, be responsive to campus request, and develop/maintain productive working relationships with campus personnel ▪ Must demonstrate teamwork, integrity, and accountability ▪ Must contribute ideas/opinions and listen/respond to the views of others ▪ A criminal background check will be conducted prior to hiring |
