Monday 11:45-5:15PM

Time: Mondays 11:45-5:15PM. (Federal holidays excluded). 

Where: West Side of Madison--Parkwood Hills Neighborhood

When: starting by 1/26/26, continuing through end of semester. 

What: childcare for our 3-year-old son: picking up from school (Odana Rd and Genoomic Drive), and getting him back to our home (Natchez Trace and Antietam Lane) sometime over the course of the afternoon (ok to pack a lunch and go on adventures to zoo, museum, library, etc in the interim). Occasionally also watching our 7-year-old daughter if she is not in school/activities. 

Compensation: $20/hr

If there is not snow on the roads, we really prioritize bicycling--our son bikes home from preschool (about 1.5 miles) several days/week in reasonable weather. We have an e-bike with trailer, and sometimes, but not all the time, have a car to lend.  We also have warm biking clothes to lend! A babysitter could come to our house by bus to retrieve a bike or car prior to starting if needed  (necessitating a week-to-week discussion based on weather). 

Preference will be given to 

-Spanish speakers

-those who could also provide care on another afternoon each week

-those who would be interested in continuing the position after the school year/through the summer

-Capable of carrying a 35 lb child

-Able to ride a bicycle

-Experience with pre-school age children preferred

-First Aid and BLS certifications preferred
