Look no further! The Direct Placement program offers you a guaranteed employment opportunity where you can earn money while gaining skills that can be helpful for your future. The best part is the process is quick and easy.

This program offers a guaranteed part-time employment opportunity for Summer 2023. All of our employment opportunities are either UW-Madison Off Campus Work Study Partners or UW Departments that are focused on enhancing your connection to campus and supporting your experience as a UW student.

The UW-Madison Off Campus Work Study Organizations and UW Departments with employment opportunities are as follows:

Process & Timeline:

To participate in the Direct Placement program you must first complete the quick Application of Interest. This application will require for you to submit a resume. These materials will allow for us to match you to opportunities that can best capitalize on your passions and interests. In addition, you will have the chance to review all employment opportunities offered through the program while indicating your preferences for part-time work. Once submitted, your Application of Interest will be reviewed and at least one employment opportunity will be offered to you. Please note you will be guaranteed an employment opportunity from the program, but we cannot guarantee the employment opportunity will be in your top preferences. Employment opportunities will vary throughout the process.

All students who submit an Application of Interest by the priority deadline of February 27th, 2023 will receive a job offer within 5-10 business days. All applications of interest submitted after the priority deadline, will be first come first serve and receive notification of the employment opportunities within 1 or 2 weeks. There will then be a specified deadline to formerly accept your part-time employment offer. From there the specific hiring departments will reach out to you and begin the hiring as well as on-boarding process so that you are set to begin working by your specified start date.
