Department Overview:

The Bolz Center for Arts Administration, located in the Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, supports the oldest and longest running graduate program in Arts Administration in the world. The Bolz Center is committed to training leaders who are curious, life-long learners. The Center also serves as a model for exploration through consulting projects, national initiatives, and experiences that engage our alumni and colleagues around the world. The Bolz Center currently administers the 2 year MBA in Arts Administration, and the newly launched 1 year Master of Arts in Business: Arts and Creative Enterprise Leadership.

Anticipated Start Date:

February 10, 2020

Anticipated End Date (If Applicable):

May 1, 2020. Opportunity for extension into Summer 2020 and the Academic Year 2020-21 may be possible.

Anticipated Hours Per Week:

5-15, depending on projects. The opportunity for additional hours may be possible.

Salary/Wage Range/Lump Sum:

$10-11 per hour

Qualifications:

  • Multimedia experience (e.g. recording live events with camera (including iPhone), creating podcasts with Soundcloud or YouTube)
  • Social media experience (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram)
  • Experience using graphic design software (Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Video editing experience
  • Experience in website creation and editing

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as individually
  • Detail-oriented with a strong initiative to perform at a high-level

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Under the supervision and guidance of the Bolz Center Director and Assistant Director, the person in this position will use their creative and technical skills to help develop media and marketing content for the Bolz Center. Specifically, the candidate will be tasked to help capture and create video content for the Center, and create/manage the podcast series. The candidate may also be asked to create web content for social media platforms, and assist with the creation of the monthly online newsletter.
