Schedule:
A variety of shifts are available weekdays between 7:45 am and 5:00 pm. Applicants must be able to work at least 10 hours per week Monday-Friday. There is a possibility of summer and winter-break hours (must be eligible for continuing student employment).

Qualifications:
Required: Must be eligible for student employment. Preferred: Curiosity and interest in learning about using and supporting IT equipment such as computers (macOS and Windows), projectors, audio/video recording devices, printers and scanners. Training and experience in providing excellent customer service. Training and experience in troubleshooting technological issues. Ability to work for more than one semester.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Desire to develop technical and troubleshooting skills with both Mac and Windows operating systems. Desire to provide friendly and helpful customer service. Ability to communicate effectively with customers from a variety of backgrounds. Demonstrated ability to manage details and multi-tasking. Knowledge of commonly used software such as Microsoft Office.
Position Summary/Job Duties:
We are located on the second and fourth floors of Van Hise Hall. As an IT Service Desk Attendant you will: Field inquiries from patrons in-person, via telephone, email and chat. Assist instructional staff with equipment circulation and use of classroom technology. Perform setup, installation, maintenance, and updates for department-owned computer equipment. Use ticketing and communication tools to track and document work. Troubleshoot software, hardware, and network connectivity issues. Provide computer lab customers assistance with the printing process. We will provide all necessary training through in-person and online training modules. This position is 100% in-person. Duties may include: Going to different buildings, offices, and departments to help with technical issues. Equipment and materials check-in/out. Computer lab equipment maintenance including restocking paper in printers. Cleaning and preparing classrooms for instructors. Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 10-20 lbs, occasionally to move computers, monitors, and other IT equipment.
