Department Overview:

The UW Brand Communications Office helps tell the story of and inspire engagement with the athletic department while working with student-athletes, coaches, staff, media and fans.

May 2026 with the mutually agreed upon option of renewal for additional year(s)

Qualifications:

Current college student and/or enrolled in college for the Fall 2025 semester

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Interest in and knowledge about sports
• Writing
• Social Media
• Creativity
• Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere knowledge helpful
• Attention to Detail
• Reliability
• Photography

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Help with communications with a focus on student-athletes, fans, media, coaches, staff, alumni and recruits

• Help run sport social media accounts
• Writing event previews and recaps, bios, news releases and feature stories
• UWBadgers.com maintenance
• Archiving of photos
• Keeping statistics
• Photography/Videography
• Interacting with student-athletes, coaches, staff, media, alumni and fans
• Travel is possible

Expecting to conduct in-person interviews for the positions last couple weeks of April.

Carrying office supplies, traveling around sports facilities
