Position Summary/Job Duties: | I am seeking a graduate student, teaching assistant, any degree-holding, or some-college academic or writing tutor to assist me virtually for 1-4 hours per week. I am a thorough and passionate learner; however, I get stuck researching and writing. I struggle with narrowing down and simplifying my ideas, where I often end up with too much research, too many ideas, and too long of an essay that is well beyond the scope of the assignment, which makes it very difficult for me to complete tasks and turn them in. I want to learn how to become more efficient and to get essays accomplished. My assignments vary in length, typically being around 10- 30 pages. I am in my senior year, writing a senior thesis, for which I started this summer with fieldwork and research from a grant I received.
I am also seeking a graduate student, teaching assistant, or any degree-holding academic tutor to assist me virtually for 1-4 hours per week in academic concepts to discuss and bounce concepts and ideas off of. Ideally, you would have some background in anthropology, but my interests are very broad, and I am very open! Here are some other disciplines: indigenous studies, settler colonial studies, political ecology, environmental humanities, human geography, history, material culture studies, archives, archeology, discard studies, human-animal relationships, climate change, sociology, political science, rhetoric, politics, and culture, etc.)
I love learning, yet I struggle immensely with the structure of colonial education. I appreciate any help you can offer to help me complete my senior year of college and be able to graduate!
