Department Overview:

Are you looking for a meaningful and good paying job that will amp up your resume? The UW–Madison School of Nursing’s Center for Aging Research and Education (CARE) seeks a student hourly with organizational and communication skills and an interest in supporting older adult health and well-being.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

This position requires:
-Passion for community engagement, health education, interprofessional collaboration, and older adult health
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office
-Oral and written English skills

Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply, in Nursing or other health science fields. Graduate students: note this position is not currently eligible for tuition remission.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

In this position, you will work with the CARE team on community outreach and educational initiatives. You will help with a variety of tasks, including recruiting older community members for student learning activities, organizing training events for caregivers of older adults, preparing for meetings of community advisory boards with researchers, and supporting CARE meetings and other projects.

Pay range is $15-17/hour to start, based on experience and skills. This is a 5-10 hour per week job (more hours may be available in the summer) at the School of Nursing, with flexibility in scheduling. You must be available for at least one year, including summer.
