Department Overview:
The Mead Witter School of Music is a community of musicians, scholars, and teachers. The position offers a high degree of flexibility, but works mainly evenings and weekends, when performances are scheduled.

Qualifications:
*Highly responsible *Enjoys being part of a team *Customer/patron-service oriented *Excellent verbal communication *Previous House Management experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
*Ability to stand for several hours consecutively *Knowledge of performance spaces and processes *Comfort and confidence engaging with the general public and people from all walks of life *CPR/AED training/certification preferred but not required
Position Summary/Job Duties:
*Ensure all FOH staff (AHMs and ushers) are adequately trained and updated on necessary procedures *Approve payroll hours on my.wisc biweekly *Send bi-weekly emails to FOH staff with announcements/policy reminders, listing upcoming available shifts *Ensure AHMs are trained and certified in necessary areas (First Aid, AED, Active Shooter, credit card, etc.) *Address disciplinary issues amongst staff as necessary *Liaise between FOH staff and administration *Foster a collaborative and friendly community of FOH staff that serve as representatives of the Hamel Music Center and the Mead Witter School of Music *Hire and train all Front of House staff *Serve as House Manager on duty for HMC events as needed

*Ability to stand for several hours consecutively *Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
