Department Overview:

Founded in 1989, The Posse Foundation identifies, recruits and trains individuals with extraordinary leadership potential. Posse Scholars receive full-tuition leadership scholarships from Posse’s partner colleges and universities. Posse extends to these students the opportunity to pursue personal and academic excellence by placing them in supportive, multicultural teams—Posses—of 10 students. Posse partner colleges and universities award Posse Scholars four-year, full-tuition leadership scholarships.

Schedule:

Preferred between M-F, 8:30am-4:30pm, some evening availability may be requested. Details to be discussed with your supervisor.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled student at UW-Madison in good academic standing. Must be available to work in-person in the Posse office in the Red Gym. This position requires a reliable individual with an inquisitive and collaborative mindset.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Students with the any/all following skills or experiences are highly encouraged to apply:

MS office suite, interpersonal skills, communication skills, time management, ability to collaborate, and ability to have multiple projects throughout the semester.

Position Summary/Job Duties:

For this position, the Posse Administrative Intern can expect to engage in the following:

-Provide administrative support for Posse events, workshops, and student services.

-Design and edit materials for social media postings (Instagram, etc) and flyers for events, including Senior Celebrations and large programming events.

-Assist in coordinating and promoting programming, student seminars, PossePlus Retreat, and required meetings with Posse Mentors.

-Assist in designing, editing, and compiling office resource slide deck.

-Support communication with Posse scholars through email, social media, and outreach materials.

-Greet and assist students, staff, and visitors; serve as a point of contact for questions about Posse.

-Use Microsoft Office Suite products (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Excel, Word, etc).
