ITA is hiring technology instructors! The Information Technology Academy (ITA) provides educational services to diverse students, with the ultimate goal of increasing their enrollment, retention, and graduation rates at UW-Madison. Instructor responsibilities would include: working with/teaching a diverse population of high school students in technology related topics. Topics would include photography, graphic design, video production, programing, sound design, and others. There will be paid training included in this position specific to the different topics being taught. Occasional travel will be a requirement in this position. Instruction is delivered in a blended learning platform that includes two week in person summer camps taking place in our partner communities, quarterly in person cohorts, as well as virtual instruction during the course of the school year.

Camp Compass Program Leader Gr K-5 -Summer 2024 Community Partners Madison School & Community Recreation $15.00 Local Student Jobs
During summer, MSCR offers the Camp Compass childcare program across five locations. This camp offers 8 weeks of a fun, enriching and inclusive experience to participants in grades k-5. Each day will include free play, staff led activities, outdoor recess and meals. Field trips and special events will be included weekly, when possible. Camp Compass is open to the public for registration. The CC programs run from 7:30-5:30pm. and includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack. Camp Compass Snap shot Each CC site provides programming for approximately 60 students in grades k-5 (Warner Park serves 40). Classrooms typically have 15-18 students that are supervised by two or more Program Leaders Each site has a leadership team that consists of one Director and 2 Assistant Directors Program Leaders begin their shift checking in with their supervisor and preparing for the day. The majority of the time is spent supervising a group of participants. Once students leave for the day, Program Leaders clean-up and check in with their supervisor as needed. There is typically one staff meeting per week. Sites swim 1-2 times a week. Staff are required to swim with participants.

MSCR is looking for experienced, reliable, creative and dedicated youth workers to help support all functions of an Elementary Summer Recreation and Enrichment Center site (SREC). Form meaningful relationships with staff and students while leading, coaching and supporting the team. Paid professional development and training are provided to help build your skills. Opportunities to continue employment into Fall. Come join us! During summer, MSCR offers the Summer Recreation and Enrichment Centers (SREC). MMSD students enrolled in morning Summer School, transition to SREC mid-day to join MSCR staff for a variety of recreation and enrichment activities (outdoor, science, art, music, drama, etc.) and field trips. SREC Snap shot Each SREC site provides programming for approximately 180 students in grades 4k-4. Classrooms typically have 15-18 students that are supervised by two or more Program Leaders. Each site has a leadership team that consists of one Director, 3-5 Assistant Directors and one Inclusion Assistant Director. ADs are typically assigned to support a specific grade level. Assistant Directors begin their day checking in with the Director to prep. AD’s greet and check in with Program Leaders as they arrive and help them prep. The majority of the time is spent providing support for staff and students during program time. End-of-day duties may include checking in with staff, families and/or the Director; clean up and prep for the following day, conducting a staff meeting, etc
