The Wisconsin Union, often referred to as the "heart and soul" of the University of Wisconsin - Madison, has enhanced the lives of members and visitors since it was founded in 1907.

• Anticipated Schedule

  Your working schedule is created around your class schedule and other commitments.  Availability to work at least 1 weekend shift per week and at least 1 closing shift per week is required.        

• Minimum Hour Expectation

  2 or 3 shifts a week. Each shift will be about 4 to 6 hours long

• Unit Hours

  10:00am - 11:00pm

• Unit Location

  Lakefront Units are in the Memorial Union and are Strada, Daily Scoop, Carte and Lakeview Lounge. 

• Each role will have an aspect of cashiering and general customer service
• Handling, cooking and preparing food, including meat*
• Assisting with food and beverage service, including serving alcohol*
• Maintaining a clean work environment

• Punctual and reliable
• Ability to work in a team
• Prior food experience helpful, not required
• Requires standing for long periods of time

Student Status- To be eligible for the Wisconsin Union positions, you must be currently enrolled in a college, university, or highschool (at least 16). It is not permissible to hire a person as a student hourly employee if they are taking credits merely to be eligible for student hourly employment. Review UW Policy 5003- Student Hourly Employment for more information. If school is in break period (summer, spring, winter), applicants must intend to enroll in courses the following semester.
